More info about photo opened in a separate window (opened from scrolling view with a left click):
In separate window, right click and 'save picture as...' - or other software's equivalent will normally work to save the photo.
The photo view can normally be toggled between 1) fitting the window and 2) showing with its full resolution - this allows seeing what you are able to save.
